Reduce Stress through EFT Tapping for Anxiety
Are you feeling stressed or anxious and looking for an alternative therapy for relaxation? Try EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping for anxiety. The process involves targeting acupressure points to promote relaxation and stimulate energy flow. EFT Tapping can release blocked chakras and send calming signals to the part of the brain responsible for controlling stress. Relaxation can be achieved by simply tapping on areas of your face, chest, and under arms for 3 – 7 minutes. Try using the EFT affirmations at the end of this article for more success.
Unblock Meridian Lines and Blocked Chakras
The process works by stimulating the 12 meridian lines in our body so that our energy can flow freely. You can think of these meridian lines as the energy force behind our organs. In addition, we have spinning disks of energy centers known as chakras. Stress and anxiety can block these important energy centers, especially the root chakra. The root chakra is known as our foundation of life and can be closely associated with anxiety. The reason is that the root chakra is responsible for safety and security. Cracks in this foundation can lead to fear and anxiety. The root chakra is also connected to our adrenal glands which can become overworked by chronic stress.
One way to unblock the root chakra is by stimulating energy flow through EFT tapping for anxiety.
In this article, you will explore the EFT tapping chart and what to say during EFT to help guide you through the process.
What are the Meridians of the Body?
Tapping Technique for Anxiety Steps 1 - 10
#1 Relax and Breath
Try to get into a meditative state by focusing on your breath for the first 2 minutes. Visualize the oxygenated air going into your body upon inhaling, and the anxious thoughts leaving your body upon exhaling.
#2 Tap the Outer Edges of Your Hand
Use your index finger and middle finger to tap the outer edge of your right hand for 30 seconds, then alternate to your left hand for 30 seconds.
#3 Tap on Your Crown
Use your index finger and middle finger to tap the highest part of your head for 30 seconds (also known as your crown).
#4 Tap Between the Brows / Frown Lines
Now tap between your eyebrows on your frown lines or you can tap the inner corners of your brows for 30 seconds.
#5 Tap the Side of Your Eyes
Tap the side of both of your eyes, using both hands for 30 seconds. Your right index finger and middle finger should be tapping the right side of your eye, while your left index finger and middle finger are tapping the left side of your eye.
#6 Below Your Eyes
Now tap right beneath your eyes, which is the area above your cheekbone. Continue to tap as long as you’d like as this is a great area for anxiety relief.
#7 Tap Beneath Your Nose
Tap below your nose and above your top lip for the next 30 seconds.
#8 Tap on Your Chin
This is the indentation on your chin right below your bottom lip. Tap for 30 seconds.
#9 Tap Below Your Collar Bone
Tap on your chest with both hands for 30 seconds. Feel free to spend extra time tapping in this area as it is another meridian point for anxiety.
#10 Tap Your Underarms
Tap about 4 inches below your armpits for 30 seconds.
Repeat the Process as Necessary
